Day 01
Arrive Delhi

Welcome to 'The Golden Quadrangle' tour ! On arrival at the airport / railway station in Delhi, You will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Later, enjoy a city tour of Delhi including a visit to Qutub Minar, Raj Ghat, Red Fort and drive past the Jama Masjid, India Gate, the President's House, Parliament House and the Government Secretariat Buildings.
Note: Red Fort remains closed on Mondays.

Day 02
Delhi -Jaipur (275 km / approx. 6 hours drive)

Today, proceed to the pink city of Jaipur. On arrival, check in to the hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.

Day 03
Jaipur

This morning, after breakfast, drive to the ancient capital of Amer to see the fabulous Amer Fort followed by a visit to the City Palace and Jantar Mantar.
Situated on a ridge on the outskirts of the city, the fort-palace complex of Amer (also known as Amber) is surrounded by fortified battlements overlooking the Maota Lake. Known for its artistic style, it blends both Hindu and Mughal elements, as seen in its large ramparts, monuments and series of imposing gates and cobbled pathways.
Later, visit the sections of the City Palace a repository of Rajasthani artifacts and culture. It houses a remarkable collection of Rajasthani costumes, and armory of Mughals and Rajputs, an art gallery, intricately designed carpets, royal paraphernalia and rare astronomical works.
Finally, you proceed to the awe-inspiring Jantar Mantar Observatory, a stone astrological and astronomical observatory built in the 18th century. Known for its ingenuity, this scientific 'playground' paved the way for modern astronomy.

Day 04
Jaipur - Agra via Fatehpur Sikri (276 km / approx. 5 hours drive)

Today, proceed to another historical and romantic city, Agra. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri - a perfect example of fusion between the hindu figurative decoration and the mughal geometrical pattern. On arrival, check in to the hotel in Agra.
Later, visit the famous Taj Mahal - built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century as a shrine to everlasting love for his queen, Mumtaz Mahal. It is also, considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 05
Agra - Gwalior (120 km / approx. 3 hours drive)

In the morning, visit the Agra fort - a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a hilltop citadel with fabulous courtyards, fountains and gates. Later, drive to historical city of Gwalior.On arrival, check in to the hotel.

Day 06
Gwalior

Today, proceed on a city tour of Gwalior visiting places like Teli Ka Mandir, Sas Bahu ka Mandir and the tomb of Tansen. Teli Ka Mandir - it is touted as the oldest surviving structure within the Gwalior fort.
Sas Bahu ka Mandir - considered being one of the greatest architectural marvels situated at the Gwalior fort.
Continue, your tour visiting the tomb of Tansen - Tansen was a legendary musician and singer in the court of Mughal Emperor, Akbar. He is considered to be the father of Hindustani classical music and was one of the nine jewels of Akbar's court. He was buried in Gwalior and his tomb is a brilliant monument built in the early style of Mughal architecture.

Depart Gwalior

Today, bid farewell to your 'The Golden Quadrangle' tour, as you are transferred to the airport / railway station in Gwalior for your onward journey.
