Arrive Jammu - On to Katra (52 km / approx.1.5 hours drive)
Welcome to your 'Kashmir Experience' tour! On arrival at the airport / railway Station in Jammu you will be met and transferred to Katra where you will check in to the hotel.

Katra - Trek to Mata Vaishnodevi (14 km one way)
As per your own preferred time, you may proceed to Banganga from where you will trek up the Mata Vaishno Devi Temple.
Vaishno Devi Temple - one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in India, is located at a height of 5,200 feet on the hills of the Trikuta range. The temple consists of a cave shrine dedicated to the Hindu goddess, Vaishno Devi. Return to your hotel post darshan, return to your hotel.

On to Patnitop (70 km / approx. 2.5 hours drive)
Today, transfer to Patnitop. This hill station is mainly famous for its picturesque surroundings There are also options available for skiing in Patnitop The gentle graded baby slopes of Patnitop are suitable enough for beginners.

On to Pahalgam (180 km / approx. 5.5 hours drive)
Today depart for Pahalgam, the 'Valley of Shepherds' which is situated at the confluence of streams flowing from the River Lidder and Sheshnag Lake. On arrival into Pahalgam, check in to the hotel and enjoy the surrounding beauty.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this popular tourist destination.

The day is at leisure to admire the beauty of this quiet place. One can enjoy a pony ride to nearby place like Chandanwari or simply walk along the Lidder River (on direct payment basis).

On to Gulmarg (145 km / approx. 5 hours drive)
This morning, proceed to Gulmarg. The beautiful town of Gulmarg is bordered by picturesque villages, willow trees, fast flowing streams and lush green meadows. Gulmarg -the 'Meadow of Flowers' is an apt term for this idyllic flower - laden spot, offering a spectacular view of towering snow capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers, gigantic firs and pine trees.It is also a popular skiing destination. On arrival, check in to the hotel.

On to Srinagar (52 km / approx. 2 hours drive)
Today drive to Srinagar, en route, making a brief visit to Awantipura Ruins.. The ancient township of Awantipura founded by King Awantiwarman (855-883 AD) is renowned for the impressive ruins of the two temple complexes he built here in the 9th century namely Awantisvamin, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and Avantisvara, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Both the temples reflect Greek style of architecture. On arrival, check in to the hotel.
In the afternoon, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Srinagar visiting the Mughal Gardens - Shalimar Garden, Chashmeshahi and Nishant Gardens.
Shalimar Gardens (also known as garden of love) - situated 15 km from Srinagar, is one of the most popular Mughal gardens in the city. It has four terraces, rising one above the other, fitted with fountains and chinar (sycamore) trees.
Chashme Shahi Gardens - an ancient garden established in 1632 by Emperor Shah Jahan, is considered to be one of the smallest Mughal gardens in Srinagar. Divided into three different sections with an aqueduct, waterfalls and fountains, it provides magnificent views of the Himalayas and the Dal Lake.
Nishat Garden - is situated on the banks of the picturesque Dal Lake, with the Zabarwan Mountains forming its backdrop. Also known as the garden of bliss, it was laid out in 1633 by Asaf Khan, the elder brother of Nur Jahan. Designed in Persian style, this is a 12-terrace garden interspersed with fountains, colourful flowerbeds and lush green lawns.
Later, visit the Shankracharya Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple situated at a height of about 1,100 ft. on a hilltop on the southeast of the city, offers splendid views of the valley and the snow-capped mountains of the Pir Panjal range.
The evening is at leisure. One can enjoy shopping at the local market for paper-mache items ranging from jewellery boxes to mirror frames, a range of intricately carved walnut wood furniture and accessories, stone jewellery boxes, beautiful woollen shawls etc.

Srinagar - excursion to Sonmarg (90 km / approx. 3 hours drive)
Today, embark on a full day excursion tour to Sonmarg; admirably known as the 'meadow of gold'. Sonmarg, an alpine valley is situated at the bank of Nallah Sindh River. It indulges you in an activity of fishing especially during summers. This river bed is a popular breeding ground for trout and mahseer fishes. An optional ride on a pony (on direct payment basis) is sure to delight you as you are carried around the snow.
The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the city on your own. You can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of this city or continue to indulge in shopping.
